چکیده

Ileal digesta were collected via a post-valve-T-caecum cannula from piglets ( lo-15 kg) fed diets based on raw pea or on pea protein isolate (Finale or Frijaune variety). From the determined amino acids (AA) content of feed and digesta, AA apparent digestibility coefficients and proportions of proteins (endogenous, bacterial, dietary) theoretically present in digesta were calculated. Four essential AA in the two raw pea diets (Frijaune and Finale, respectively) had a low apparent ileal digestibility: MET (34% and 48%)) CYS (47% and 53%), TRP (42% and 48%)) THR (63% and 63%). The digestibility coefficients of these amino acids were higher in the pea protein isolate diets; MET (75% and 65%), CYS (61% and 61%), TRP (71% and 68%)) THR (79% and 76%), (Frijaune and Finale, respectively). In both cases, these amino acids were less digestible than N. Proportions of dietary, endogenous and bacterial proteins in the collected digesta were estimated from the AA compositions of digesta, according to a multiple regression model. The amino acids present in the ileal digesta of piglets feed the raw pea diets were estimated to originate for 20-308 of them from dietary proteins and for 70-808 from non-dietary proteins (endogenous and bacteria), for both pea varieties. The amino acid composition of the digesta corresponding to the diets based on pea protein isolate would be a combination of endogenous and bacterial sources without significant contribution of dietary protein. Ileal Digestibility of Amino Acids in Fish Meal-Based Diets for Broiler Starters Using Regression Technique

An experiment was conducted to determine apparent ileal digestibility of crude protein (CP) and amino acids (AA) and digestible CP and AA of fish meal (FM) in 21-d-old broiler chickens using the regression technique. Four diets containing 0, 1, 2, and 3% FM in place of cornstarch were formulated with FM as the sole contributor of CP and AAs in the sequential diets. Eighty 14-d-old broiler chick...

The aim of the present study was to assess whether near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) and regression equations are the practical and accurate approach of nutritional assessment of common feedstuffs. Therefore two experiments were conducted to study the effect of amino acid determination methods on broiler performance. In experiment I, two hundred thirty four male Ross broiler chicks ...

Evaluation of the 15N-Isotope Dilution Technique for Determining the Recovery of Endogenous Protein in Ileal Digesta of Pigs: Effect of the Pattern of Blood Sampling, Precursor Pools, and Isotope Dilution Technique1

The 15N-enrichments (atom percentage excess) were determined in the plasma free amino acids of blood samples taken at the time of feeding and in samples taken hourly and pooled over 12 h, as well as in ileal digesta, crude mucin, and bacteria collected at the distal ileum of pigs fed barley while continuously administered [15N]leucine intravenously. The branched-chain amino acids were the only ...

Availability to pigs of amino acids in cereal grains. 1. Endogenous levels of amino acids in ileal digesta and faeces of pigs given cereal diets.

1. Endogenous levels of amino acids in ileal digesta were determined as the output from pigs given protein-free diets and by extrapolation to zero intake of linear regressions of ileal amino acid output v. dietary amino acid intake. The protein-free diets included 0 or 50 g cellulose/kg and extrapolations were made from two series of four diets which contained graded levels of wheat or barley a...

Effect of Diets Formulated on the Basis of Four Critical Essential Amino Acids on Performance and Blood Biochemical Indices of Broiler Finisher Chickens Reared under Tropical Environment

A study was conducted in a completely randomized design to evaluate the effect of diets formulated on the basis of four critical essential amino acids (lysine, methionine, tryptophan and threonine) on the crude protein requirement, carcass quality, nutrient digestibility, haematological and blood biochemical indices of broiler finisher chickens (28-56 days) reared under tropical environment. On...
